Our Core Beliefs . . . .
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the written word of God. We believe that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Tim. 3:16
THE TRUE GOD
We believe that there is only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, whose name is Jehovah, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Jesus arose from the dead. His grave was emptied of its contents. He ascended into heaven and now exists in His glorified body at God’s right hand.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER
We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer, into the name of the Father, and Son, and Holy Ghost; and that it is prerequisite to the privileges of a church relation; and to the Lord’s Supper, in which the members of the church, by the sacred use of bread. It is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ
THE WAY OF SALVATION
We believe that salvation is of grace through the shed blood of the Son of God and His resurrection; and by His personal obedience, and His death made a full atonement of our sins providing justification and salvation for everyone who believe and receive Jesus Christ as by faith. We also believe the return of the Lord Jesus Christ is our hope and is vital to the personal life and service of the believer.
