GIG IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS WITH A "MIND TO WORK" IN GOD'S KINGDOM

Founding Scripture: Mark 10:42-45
God called us to serve, not to be served. If we would even dare to desire to be great, in God’s Kingdom, it is accomplished only by serving others.

Vision
To provide a world class volunteer service that is anointed by the Holy Spirit with the flexibility to minister to all who participate in the Growing in God Ministry both locally and nationally.

Our Mission is to seek out and bless the brokenhearted through sharing God’s Word and by sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

Servants2Serve Beliefs:
Is not designed for you to be seen; but to carry yourself in such a way that the smallest task that you do will bring glory to God and blessings to others. Therefore, any participant of GIG should only be blessed when they interact with a GIG volunteer.

Volunteers can expect, as the Lord leads, to serve in a multitude of ways. As your gifts are manifested by the Lord, your willingness to help build God’s Kingdom and your availability to serve is displayed, God will make room for your gifts and utilize you to do great things for His kingdom through the GIG ministry.

We expect volunteer help in all outreach projects, for any special events, any out-of-town meetings as your schedule permits, typing letters, posting mailings, and praying for others, etc.

We expect you to be honest about how much time you can commit and to stay true to that committed time. You may be the only Bible that someone will read. Therefore, we need you to buy into the overall vision and mission of GIG, as well as, the vision and mission of the volunteer ministry.

Excellence in Commitment:
We expect all assignments that you accept to be completed with excellence. GIG is a ministry of excellence and we serve a God of excellence. We, therefore, do not expect anything less than excellence from our volunteer ministry.

Ministry Requirements:
Must be a GIG Participant
Must attend the volunteer orientation meeting
Must be solely committed to the vision and mission of the GIG Ministry and the volunteer ministry
Must complete the volunteer form
Must complete the volunteer pledge form
Must submit to a background check, if required
Must have a passion to serve people
Must notify GIG volunteer leadership if you are unable to continue your ministry of volunteering for GIG and would like to be placed on the inactive list
Must submit to a photo GIG volunteer badge.
You are required to display the badge for every GIG event
You must pay a replacement fee of $5.00 if the badge is lost
You must agree to return the badge if you become inactive in the volunteer ministry

Your Unique Gift From God
Everyone that comes to Christ and is born into the Kingdom of God has a special gift for a special place of service. God, in His infinite wisdom, appointed apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints and for the work of the ministry so the body of Christ may be built up and mature. God has a plan to train and equip every believer as a minister and place him or her in a position of service. Everything God does has a purpose. He would not give us talents, personality and spiritual gifts along with life experience if He were not going to use us for His glory. God created us with a sense of uniqueness and equipped us with abilities that cause our differences to complement one another. As we operate in our special talent and spiritual gifts, we find fulfillment as we complete those around us.

We are one step closer to accomplishing all that God has placed in our hands. Thank you for being a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. Thanks for accepting the call to be a participant and not a spectator in the Lord’s work. Thank you for deciding to utilize your gift at Growing in God Servants2Serve Volunteer Ministry!
